FCCB Provides Funding to Help Reduce and Prevent Homelessness

Through their partnership and support of the Home4Good program, FCCB was able to help those who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness across Delaware and Pennsylvania. As a result, over 18 different projects were awarded funds totaling nearly $1.4 million.

Home4Good funding is conducted through the FHLBank Pittsburgh, and helps those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by channeling dollars to local service organizations that know how to help. Home4Good provides flexible funding and has led to innovative solutions to better address the issue of homelessness. Funding is offered annually by FHLBank Pittsburgh and the Delaware State Housing Authority, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and the West Virginia Housing Development Fund. Continuums of Care and service organizations serving the homeless partner with FHLBank members to apply for Home4Good grants during the funding round. Awards are announced each December.

“We have an insatiable need to do what is right for the greater good in the communities we call home, and beyond, and are proud to support programs that make an impact in our communities,” commented Jim Rovito, CRA & Fair Lending Officer at FCCB. “Home4Good funding is important because it ties with our mission to give back to the community, helping those in need find and maintain safe, affordable housing.”
