Staff Accountant - Mansfield Corporate Office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounting Duties - - Prepare various account reconciliations for general ledger and bank accounts, prepare journal entries as required by reconciliations or to correct errors made by branches or departments; serve as the primary backup for investment accounting reconciliations and journal entries; and is backup for normal end of day balance requirements at the Fed and FHLB.

  • Financial Reporting - - Assist with the preparation of a variety of financial reports in an accurate and timely manner for senior managers, members of the Board of Directors, Federal Reserve Bank, FDIC, SEC, and other appropriate entities in order to present the Bank’s performance and financial position. Reports will be prepared in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices or regulatory requirements.
  • Fixed Assets - - Maintain the Bank’s fixed asset system ensuring items are properly capitalized or expensed, that the appropriate lives are utilized for depreciation and that the appropriate book and tax methods are utilized for depreciation.

Commercial Lender - State College Office

 JOB PURPOSE

The Commercial Lender will be responsible for the development, growth, and profitability of the Bank’s commercial and agricultural line of business in the market area. The Commercial Lender provides leadership, supervision, and direction to the commercial and agricultural sales lending activities to ensure consistency with bank and regulatory policies. The Commercial Lender oversees loan administration including origination, documentation, underwriting, servicing, classification, compliance, and training of loan officers. The incumbent maintains a strong customer service culture that is anchored by safe and sound underwriting practices which focuses on expanding the use of products and services by existing customers and developing strong relationships with new customers. The incumbent assists with the development of new loan products and other services to meet the needs of commercial customers within the Bank’s market. The Commercial Lender will oversee the Loan Committee and originate loans, complete annual reviews, and monitor ongoing covenant monitoring of existing loan portfolio. The Commercial Lender will manage a number of key customer relationships including the Bank’s larger credits and supervise and mentor other commercial and agricultural lenders.  

 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITY STATEMENTS

Abilities to prepare and make a comprehensive presentation, participate in formal debate, communicate extemporaneously, and communicate before an audience with poise using correct English.
