Mariani to Lead Service Quality for FCCB's South Central PA Region

01/11/2021

MANSFIELD, PA (January 2021) In an age where most financial institutions offer similar products and services, there is a push to break away from sameness and make service the differentiator. A recent study by the survey company Qualtrics revealed that companies who focus on improving “the customer experience” report an increase in revenue compared to those who do not.

“Although every customer has a different definition of what good service looks like, we believe making customers feel important and respected will always be a significant factor - so we make it our top priority,” commented Randall E. Black, CEO and President of FCCB. “We credit our success to the effective balance of competitive products and technology with a proactive and personal approach to customer service, which requires hiring the right people. So, we are excited that Lauren Mariani, who shares our ideals, has decided to join FCCB to lead our branch customer service efforts in our South Central PA region.”

Mariani joins the Bank as VP, South Central PA Regional Manager, bringing 16 years of experience to their team. As Regional Manager, she will provide leadership to the Banks branches in Lebanon, Lancaster, and Schuylkill counties, ensuring that the effective delivery of their customer service approach remains a priority. Most recently, Mariani worked for S&T Bank as VP, Government Banking Manager. During her time with S&T, Mariani’s growth and service goal accomplishments afforded her a position in their Unleashing Potential Leadership program. Prior to joining S&T, she was a Market Leader for M&T Bank in the Altoona market. Mariani graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in Business Administration. She is a head coach for Cumberland Valley Youth Basketball and I9 Sorts, and a volunteer for Junior Achievement of South Central, PA. Mariani is a Committee Member for the Lebanon County Chamber new member/ambassador program.

FCCB’s strategy of prioritizing the customer experience was recognized when they were voted the #1 Bank in the state of PA for service and trust in multiple Forbes customer surveys. And their focus on the customer has paid off financially as well, as FCCB is consistently ranked as one of the top-performing community banks in the nation by a variety of organizations that measure and track bank performance.

“The impact of a customer-centered focus is clear to our customers, our employees, and our shareholders,” noted Black. “Customer loyalty requires exceeding expectations and delivering the type of commitment we all expect. We are confident Lauren will strive for excellence and ensure our branches continue to value the role customer service plays in our success.”

Prior to December 2015, all FCCB offices were located north of Interstate 80. Through multiple acquisitions and the opening of new offices, their footprint now includes Lebanon, Lancaster, Schuylkill, Berks, Union, Centre, and Chester Counties in PA. Then, in April of 2020, the bank entered the Delaware market when they acquired MidCoast Community Bancorp, Inc.

First Citizens Community Bank (FCCB) offers a strong line of mortgage and real estate loans, high-interest rewards checking, trust and investment services, and cash management services that help businesses save time and money. They are headquartered in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, and currently operate 31 offices throughout Tioga, Bradford, Potter, Clinton, Centre, Union, Lebanon, Lancaster, Schuylkill, Berks, and Chester counties in Pennsylvania, Allegany County, New York, and New Castle, and Kent Counties in Delaware.
