FCCB Ranks as a Top Bank in the Nation

When the American Bankers Association recently announced the top-performing community banks in the nation, First Citizens Community Bank made the list once again, ranking 59th, up seventeen places from the previous year. They ranked 3rd for banks in the state of Pennsylvania where they are headquartered. FCCB has been recognized by the ABA for its financial performance for thirteen consecutive years. Rankings are based on a three-year average Return on Equity (ROE). According to the ABA, the two key factors that contributed to the performance of the top banks were profitable lending and effectively managing expenses.

In 2019, employees of First Citizens Community Bank (FCCB) reached into their pockets to donate funds that provided over 10,000 meals to those in need through the Central PA Foodbank. And now, in the midst of a pandemic when opportunities to volunteer are few, the Bank is again supporting the Central PA Foodbank with a donation of $25,000.

First Citizens Community Bank has announced the promotion of Abbie Pritchard to Market Leader of their Western PA/NY market. At this time, this region includes their Wellsville, Genesee, and Ulysses locations. Pritchard has worked for FCCB over 31 years, getting her start in the Ulysses Branch. In 1999 she was promoted to Branch Manager of the Genesee office. From this branch, she built an effective network of business and customer connections in Wellsville, prompting the bank to explore opportunities for a branch in that community. In 2005, Pritchard became the manager of the Bank's newly constructed Wellsville branch.

On March 27th, Congress passed the CARES Act, providing financial relief and support to the economy. The Act included funding for the Small Business Association's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to cover payroll costs so workers are not displaced. The responsibility of processing these loans landed on the nation's banks, and FCCB answered the call.
