MANSFIELD, PA – First Citizens Community Bank (FCCB) is welcoming Army veteran and financial expert Joseph Bower to the CZFS and FCCB Board of Directors. With over 20 years in the financial world, Bower has built a reputation for helping banks grow and finding new ways to serve their customers.
Bower joins the board after a 25-year career where he held several key leadership roles, including CFO, COO, President, and CEO. Over a 12-year stretch in executive leadership, he helped lead a $4.1 billion increase in assets. He is known for taking the best parts of community banking and making them work in all kinds of different markets, whether through new branches or acquisitions.
"Joe’s experience and knowledge of community banking is a great fit for the board," said Randall Black, President and CEO. "He believes in finding a way to say yes to customers and local communities, which is exactly how FCCB operates. His experience in helping banks grow will be a huge asset as FCCB continues to build our strong foundation."
Bower’s career started with a sense of service as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army, which gave him a disciplined, common-sense approach to banking. He is a Lycoming College grad with a degree in Accounting and has deep roots in banking, manufacturing, and tax. Bower has also served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.
