The ultimate goal of everything we do at First Citizens Community Bank is to support the growth of the communities we serve...and we've been doing it for over 100 years.
We provide customers with the ability to own their own home, send their children to college, and retire in a lifestyle to which they are accustomed. We provide loans to small businesses and municipalities, keeping jobs local and business communities healthy. And, we support our communities through economic contributions and the civic involvement of our employees.
An organization must be financially strong to sustain this commitment. For the sixth consecutive year, Citizens Financial Services, Inc., holding company for First Citizens Community Bank, was ranked one of the 200 top-performing community banks in the United States by US Banker magazine. For 2012, our Company placed #1, up from 5th the previous two years.
The foundation of our financial strength lies in our ability to understand and proactively satisfy our customer needs. Our proactive approach to taking care of customers makes us different from other financial service providers in our market.
We're committed to understanding our customers, and offering loans and accounts that fulfill the needs of people living in the Twin Tiers. Here are just a few of the accounts we've designed to better serve you:
On June 29, 2012, we elected to change our name to First Citizens Community Bank and to become a state-chartered bank because we believe this better represents who we are. Originally, the bank was formed to fulfill a need for local financial support to assist with the development of the community -- and developing the communities we serve remains a priority for our organization.
Our roots go back to 1872 when Andrew Ross and Philip Williams opened the first bank in Mansfield, the Ross and Williams Bank. After numerous mergers and acquisitions, we've grown to over $909 million in assets and are operating 17 offices throughout Tioga, Bradford and Potter counties in Pennsylvania and Allegany County in New York as well as two loan production offices in Lock Haven and Dallas Pennsylvania.
A simple philosophy can lead a company to great rewards. Treat your customers, your employees and your communities with respect and you will earn their loyalty. Our strategy has never been about selling products but instead about finding ways to help make life more rewarding for our customers. We have been, and remain committed to helping our communities thrive by dedicating time and money, knowledge and skills, to organizations and activities that impact our economy and social vitality.
At First Citizens Community Bank, we continue to make your success and the success of our communities our mission!
