First Citizens Community Bank, headquartered in Mansfield, PA, is continuing its longstanding support of local schools by contributing $74,000 to help fund educational programs throughout the region. First Citizens Community Bank recognizes the value of public education and the important role that school districts play in our local communities. The donation is being made through BLaST Intermediate Unit 17, an educational service agency that assists school districts in Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties.
BLaST Intermediate Unit 17's Educational Enhancement Foundation is distributing this funding among the following school districts within First Citizens Community Bank's regional service territory –
The funds will be utilized to support initiatives such as financial literacy programs, online learning, and curriculum development, which would otherwise need to be funded with taxpayer dollars.
"The education of our youth is very important to First Citizens and our overall community vision, stated Randall E. Black, First Citizens CEO and President. "Being able to team up with Blast IU 17 to provide funding opportunities to our public school systems, generates a win/win opportunity for all, and we remain committed to doing our part to support improved educational programs in our community classroom."
On behalf of local school districts, BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 is very appreciative of First Citizens Community Bank's generosity and commitment to public education.
